On February 23 and 24, 2024, Saxony-Anhalt's largest education, job and start-up fair will open. Since 2004, it has been an important address for finding one's personal future and shows a variety of apprenticeships, study opportunities and job prospects. This year there are 315 exhibitors. Prime Minister Dr. Reiner Haseloff has once again taken on the patronage, thereby underlining the high esteem in which the job fair is held.
Under the motto “Shaping the future yourself”, the event is aimed at young people who are looking for guidance on the right career path and job seekers alike. At the fair, they have optimal opportunities to find out from the exhibitors about their options for finding the right career path for them. With specific job offers, renowned companies are looking for new specialists in many areas and with different qualification requirements. Personnel managers and future colleagues provide advice on site, give insights into the dream job, introduce new professions and answer all questions about training paths, career entry and taking up employment. The choice of career path needs to be carefully prepared; the trade fair focuses on dual vocational training. The local points of contact are the Halle-Dessau Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Halle (Saale) Chamber of Crafts. Universities, universities of applied sciences and vocational academies are on hand to answer questions from prospective students. Training and further education academies present their offers, programs and training measures.
As a job fair, the Chance is of great importance for skilled workers in the region. In addition to the South Saxony-Anhalt Alliance for Skilled Workers, regional and national companies are at the fair to provide information about their current job offers and entry paths. At the job and apprenticeship fair, visitors can find vacancies in the region. At the same time, the fair aims to spark an interest in entrepreneurial activity – whether it be starting a new company or taking over an existing one – as this opens up alternative life prospects for some people.
A lecture program will accompany the fair. All the latest information about the fair is available at www.chance-halle.de and via the free Chance app.
